Mark the blacksmith has four pieces of chain, each consisting of three rings.
He wants to obtain a single round chain as in the picture.
It takes Mark a minute to open a ring,
and another minute to close it.
How long will it take Mark to complete this task, at minimum?

Answer :Mark will take minimum 4 minutes to complete the task.
Explanation :
He will open the middle ring of one of the chain which will take him 1 minute.
So now he has 3 separate rings.
He will now join the remaining 3 pieces of chain using these 3 rings which will take hime 3 minutes.
So in total he will take 4 minutes to make a single round chain.
